Siberian Husky

Siberian husky dog is a compact, powerful dog developed by the Chukchi tribe of extreme northeatern Siberia as an all purpose sled dog. Leohard Seppala is credited with bringing the first team of huskies to Alaska in 1909, when sled dog racing become popular. The breed was officially recognized by the American Kennel Club in 1930.


The Siberian husky, a medium sized working dog native to north eastern Asia, is one of the fastest of all sled dog. 

Male Siberian Husky stand about 53 to 58 cm at the shoulder and weight 20 to 27 kg; female dog are slightly smaller. Huskies have small; prick ears, a bushy, curled tail, and double coat. The top coat is medium length and soft; the undercoat, thick and downy. The breed exist in a wide range of colors from black to white, with grays and reds frequently seen.
